Second annual IMPD Teen Academy starting soon
Dear Neighbor:
I’d like to share an exciting opportunity for children ages 12-14. From June 24-30, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Community Engagement and Outreach Bureau will host a free Teen Academy at Creston Middle School.
From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, children will have an opportunity to learn about conflict resolution, physical fitness, crime lab investigations and how law enforcement officers and the community can work together to create safer neighborhoods.
This is a great opportunity for local children and teens to explore a career in law enforcement and gain a better understanding of a police officer’s role in a community. For more information and to apply, click here. Please direct any questions to Officer Iris Farries at iris.farries@indy.gov.
